Well last week saw the publication of the second volume of limericks. I feel better just knowing that its finally off of my to do list. I need to get my procrastination under control here. I’m half way through the third installment and I hope to get that released in two weeks.
As for this week, I’m hoping to have the first draft of the Yoga Poses story ready for review. I should have an additional excerpt posted here. I know how much you all look forward to that. At least I hope you do… feedback here has crawled to about zero. But I’m hoping that the more I post, the more I’ll be noticed. Right now though, I seem to have an issue where I am not being seen in search results.
I think its a WordPress issue and I’ll have to start trouble shooting that. It may be something like installing a SEO plugin or have some admin option turned on… Well, that will have to wait until tomorrow.
Yes, Limericks Volume 2 has been uploaded to Smashwords. I’m happy that I have the volume one template to work from. So I have a high degree of confidence that I wont need to do any reformatting to get it converted, published and distributed on their retailer network. I an also proud of doing my own cover. What do you all think? Not too bad eh?
Subtitled: “Oh the Places You’ll Go”. This is the second release of limericks. It contains 100 limericks with a geographical focus and a ‘not suitable for minors’ nature. Test your knowledge of places global, and see how many you know..
Well, Limericks Volume One is published at Smashwords, but there is a problem with the table of contents and Word’s hyperlinks that’s preventing the book to be accepted into the Smashwords Premium distribution. So I will be watching their video and going over their style guide again.. and I’ll resubmit it again.
Limericks Volume Two is all collected, compiled and curated… and I’m formatting it for an updating to Smashwords this week. This volume has a geographic theme to the one hundred limericks which in many ways is traditional for limericks as many of the earliest samples of this verse form are geographic in nature.
I’m also starting work on an evil short story about a young lass being taken control of by her manipulative neighbor and delicious little gem I’m initially titling “Magic Mirror”. I will be serializing it here… or at least that’s the plan for now.
The limerick project is continuing with #selfie week. This week will focus on the topless selfies young ladies post as I usually associate such sightings as an early sign of spring. I’ll recap the Monday through Friday releases on this site weekly. As always you can keep up with the daily releases on my twitter feed: https://twitter.com/wastor64.
Last week saw three new Diana Series poems. I’ve been focused on this series because I’m thinking about releasing a volume of Diana pieces through Smashwords. I think it might be the perfect vehicle for experimenting in self e-book publishing. I will of course take notes and hopefully report on this in an essay or two.
This week I’ll post another Diana poem and I have an essay in progress. Hopefully I’ll have two of those this week. But we will see what develops.
Did anybody else notice that I’m starting week three already a day behind schedule? I think I’m seeing the beginnings of a pattern here. Well lets hope that I am back on track next week! There’s nothing like a Monday Status posted on Tuesday to let people know that you procrastinate..
This is the second week of the new year. I am kicking off #cowgirl week, an irreverent look at those sexy girls who pose in cutoff, tiny t-shirts and cowboy hats. I can’t personally vouch for their country of origin. I’ll recap the Monday through Friday releases on this site weekly. As always you can keep up with the daily releases on my twitter feed: https://twitter.com/wastor64.
Last week I was able to put together one essay on Freedom of Speech in response to the Paris shootings. I also posted what may be the last in the Diana series of poems. I may compile all of the Diana series and publish them at Smashwords. I may even get to that this week. Its always good to have a goal.
Also, last week I was able to work on a series of tweet that piked the traffic back to this blog. Now that I’m able to bring more eyeball in, I really should step up the production so that there is more content here to peruse.
